Buying Guide

Coverage: 1kg of dry PTP covers 900㎠ x 6mm thick. | 20kg bag of dry PTP covers 3㎡ x 13mm thick. (Figures are approximate)

Application: It is the most effective as a strong hollow shell. This saves time, effort, and money. Build a supporting core first (Foil, foam, wire, etc). Over this, apply a thin coat of Premium and begin sculpting.

Coating thickness is dependent on size: Small sculptures need 3mm. | Mid-sized pieces need 4~6mm. Larger work needs 20mm.

[!] Important notice about 18.14kg boxes.
We have recently experienced some ‘clumping’ in our stock of Pal Tiya Premium. This can be caused by some atmospheric moisture finding its way into the bag. These lumps will crush and turn back into powder, and won’t affect your finished result. It does just require an extra process to prepare the clay before using. You can learn how to do this here.
Any of the quantities below 18.14kg (a full box), we do this for you so your product should arrive ready to use. But if you order a full box, we don’t open these and send out as is, so they may have some lumps in.
You do get a significant discount per kg when you buy a full box, so hopefully this will compensate for the extra time needed for this process. If you do not want to perform the process in video above, you’re safer buying the smaller amounts so that we can do this for you.
